We love pizza night and so naturally we got the kiddos in the kitchen with us as soon as possible to introduce them to some hands on pizza building. They love sitting at the island watching the dough getting rolled out and their curiosity is refreshing. When it’s time to “decorate” their pizzas they can hardly contain their excitement. Suddenly there’s a whole other dimension of joy in my kitchen!
With three extra hungry tummies, we learned the hard way that we gotta roll out two pizza doughs now instead of one and our freezer batch only lasts for two pizza nights instead of four. Only getting one slice o’pie each our first pizza night with them helped us learn very quickly! So adjust this recipe based on servings needed.
Personal Pizzas
Ingredients:
1 – 2 fresh Pizza Doughs
1/2 jar TJs Pizza Sauce, or sauce of choice
1 pkg shredded Italian Blend Cheese, or cheese of choice
Toppings of Choice
Method:
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Preheat a cast iron pizza pan or pizza stone for at least 15 minutes before adding on the dough.
Divide the pizza dough into to equal parts, depending on how many mini pizzas needed. Roll out each dough on a silicone mat with a little flour until about 1/4 to 1/2″ inch thick. Flashbake each pizza dough on the hot pizza pan for about 5 – 8 minutes. Carefully remove from oven and evenly spread on the pizza sauce. Layer on the cheese and toppings of choice. Place back in the oven and back until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling, about 15 – 20 minutes.
Allow the pizza to rest a least 5 minutes before slicing. Serve immediately.
